26,2006.

Study Calls Cloned Meat Safe

"The draft risk assessment concludes that meat and milk from cattle, swine, and goat clones are as safe to eat as meat and milk from noncloned animals," Sundlof said.

"Cloning poses no unique risks to animals not already seen with other assisted reproductive technologies already used in agriculture," he said.

No other nation has yet approved foods from cloned animals. However, Sundlof says France earlier issued a risk assessment with the same findings as those reached by the FDA.

Because it's expensive to clone animals -- a cloned animal costs about $20,000 to produce -- cloning would likely be used to copy elite breeding animals, not to create meat.

However, at the end of their breeding years, cloned animals might be used for meat.

No Special Labeling

Sundlof says the FDA will not require meat from clones or their offspring to carry special labels. That, he says, is because the agency and its scientific advisors can find no difference between cloned animals and other animals.

In its risk assessment, the FDA notes that young clones often have health problems. Similar problems also occur in animals bred by in vitro fertilization -- but they are more common in cloning, which is a newer technology.

The FDA's risk assessment notes that sick animals already are removed from the food supply.

Food inspection processes identify animals with obvious health problems. Since cloned animals have no "subtle" differences from animals born via sexual reproduction, the FDA assessment found no safety problem in cloned animals.

Cloning Different from Genetic Engineering

Cloning is not the same as genetic engineering. No new genetic material is added to the animals. Instead, the animals are exact genetic copies of the animal being cloned.

"Clones are identical twins of the donor animal, just born at a different time," Sundlof says. "So cloners can produce a genetic duplicate of an animal without introducing anything new.

"This will allow breeders to introduce desirable traits into stock faster than with ordinary breeding," he explains.

Along with its risk assessment, the FDA issued a risk management plan to address "risks to animal health and potential remaining uncertainties associated with feed and food from animal clones and their offspring."

Also, Sundlof says, the FDA will create a free, public database with all available scientific data on clones, their health, and the composition of meat and milk derived from clones.

Anyone wishing to comment on the FDA's risk assessment may do so at the agency's web site.

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1 TIMOTHY 4:3

The key word here is "which God hath CREATED" not what so-called science has developed in a lab, remember there are many industries wanting this bill to pass the Meat industry for sure, Restaurants, and all other industries which sell, package, clean and develope for sell and distribution to the market place, a huge lobby force in Congress and Senate.

ANSWER TO ANOTHER VIEW

ANOTHER VIEW is not my view but one a friend recommended. Naaman was the King of Syria and as such did not believe that God was the God recognized in Israel ( ll Kings chapter 5 ) but as he obeyed the man of God to go to the river Jordan ( found in Israel ) he understood and believed in the God of Israel. Why was he told to dip into the river Jordan seven times? Seven is the number of completion of the times God has deemed unto man, man has now entered into the seventh completness as it has been 6,000 years since the fall of Adam ( when time began ) and 2,000 years since the time of Jesus Christ cumulated it is the end of the 6th day and the beginning of the 7th day. This will be the timeframe when Syria will recognize the one true God as did King Naaman. Syria's recognition will come after the city of Damascus will be nuked which is coming soon.

THE burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.       Isaiah 17:1

Is it any wonder that Damascus this day is the training ground for terriosts and is on the hit list due to their programs of death throughout the world? And if salvation was dependent upon the act of water baptism then would not our prime example be that of the one who can save that is Jesus Christ? Note what John stated about such.

WHEN therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)  John 4:1-2

Be wary of those who must change the scripture to fit their need, was Christ baptized by John for salvation? or was he being anointed by an old testament prophet as King of kings and Lord of lords to take over the fulfilment of the New Testament of God's grace and mercy to mankind. One cannot change himself nor can he repent except the Spirit of God lead him to repentance true repentance can only be achieved when we are saved or "born again" a term introduced in John 3:1-8;

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life.

So who then can be saved - those who do not shun the words of God and who receive Christ as the Saviour of their soul  -  as did Naaman, not by the water but by the recognition of who God was and is, as too did the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar,

32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. 34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? 36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. 37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

The difference between the King of Syria and the King of Babylon was no mention from the book of Daniel 4:32-37 has no mention of water only the recognition (which God gave Nebuchadnezzar).

Two Different Questions: What and When?
by Eric Lyons, M.Min.

“Do you believe that baptism is essential for salvation?” “Yes.” “So you believe in water regeneration?” “No.” “But you believe that you must be immersed in water before your sins are washed away?” “Yes.” “So you believe that the power to wash away your sins is in the water?” “No.” “How can you say you do not believe in water baptismal regeneration if you think that a sinner is not saved until after he is baptized?” “Because when one is saved and what saves a person are two different questions.”

The Bible makes clear that Jesus saves. “[A]ccording to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:5). It is by His grace that we have hope of eternal life (Ephesians 2:5,8-9). We are “justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Romans 5:9). We are “redeemed...with the precious blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:18-19). “Jesus Christ...loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood” (Revelation 1:5). As Jesus ate with His disciples the night before His crucifixion, He said, “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 26:28). What is it that saves a sinner from eternal separation from God? What is the remedy for sin? Without any doubt, “the blood of Christ” is what saves us (Hebrews 9:14). The idea of water having some kind of spiritual regenerative power is never taught in Scripture, nor have I ever met a member of the Lord’s church who believed such.

Another question altogether is when something happens. Naaman was healed of his leprosy (by the power of God!) when he washed in the Jordan River seven times (2 Kings 5:1-19). The blind man of John chapter nine was healed of his blindness (by Jesus!) when he washed in the pool of Siloam. And what about a sinner? When does the blood of Christ save one who is separated from God spiritually? The answer to that question is found in such passages as Acts 22:16 and Acts 2:38 (among others), which discuss water baptism. Once Saul (later called Paul) came to believe and confess that Jesus was indeed the Son of God, and expressed sorrow for his sins (cf. Acts 9:5-11), Ananias, whom God had sent to Saul, instructed him to “arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16). A sinner has his sins washed away when he is “baptized.” [NOTE: The participial phrase, “calling on the name of the Lord,” describes what Paul was doing when he was baptized and had his sins washed away (cf. Acts 2:21,38)—see Miller, 2003; Lyons, 2004.] Sadly, many have read Acts 22:16 and rejected the necessity of baptism because they approach their study of this verse with the wrong question in mind. This verse does not tell us what saves, but rather when a person is saved, i.e., has his sins washed away. Passages of Scripture such as those previously noted (e.g., Matthew 26:28, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Revelation 1:5) answer what saves, but in order to find out when a person is saved, one must consult passages like Acts 22:16 and Acts 2:38.

In short, the blood of Christ is what saves a sinner. But the blood of Christ washes away sins when a sinner confesses faith in Christ, repents, and is baptized “for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 22:16). May God help us to understand the difference between what and when, especially in regard to salvation.

DaVinci - Da Truth?

THE DAVINCI CODE ---------- THE TRUTH?

There are certain rules and commands which must be met if the claims by the Davinci Codes are to be called real. First we must know what Davinci believed about Jesus Christ if he did indeed create what is called or termed as the "Davinci Codes". Davinci did not think that Christ was God nor did he think Christ was Deity that is equal to or that Christ was God, instead, he believed that the one called Jesus Christ was a mere mortal man who escaped the death of the cross by cunning instinct. Davinci based his thoughts on the scripture found in Matthew to which the gaurds had reported unto the chief priests that Christ had arisen and was no longer in the tomb.

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priest all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. Matthew 28:11-15

Now the elitists had a problem as they knew the truth of Christ's resurrection and the evidence ( which was tremendous ) of many who had risen also from the dead when the vail was rent into, that is it was torn from the top to the bottom, and with so much evidence this lie would not suffice the elitists.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. Matthew 27:51-54

What then of the elitists who wished to stay in control? They like our modern day politicians will say and do anything to stay at the top, currently there is an uproar by the Speaker of the House over the search of one of the Congressman who has stolen up to 90,000

dollars and the FBI in an attempt to charge the Congressman has met with much opposition from both the Democrat and the Republican parties saying they are above the law of the commoners because of Diplomatic Immunity so basically they can rape, murder and steal and other such and cannot be convicted by the law. Now this was the case in early Rome and later Rome which did incorporate teachers and writers to conceive a way to maintain status quo and keep the then and now ruling families in power of the world at large. One of those methods was the falsification of history to which many attribute could not be done but they are wrong under the then President Bill Clinton, he ordered a rewrite of American history to reflect there was no 70 years cold war with Russia and more pointedly there are those that state that the Holocaust did not occur. Many books are written in every generation some to the truth ( as they observed it ) and many to a lie to enable the powers that be to stay the powers that be. The Davinci code has been around for a long time and read by many peoples before Dan Brown thought of writting about the code, some of those books which are some what dated now are: The Unseen Hand by Ralph A. Epperson ( a good read ) and Gaurdians of the Grail by

J.R. Church, now you will not find these for the most part in the library or your local bookstore but you may locate them in a Christian bookstore. Now, why was Davinci wrong - it is very simple the Law in the old testament states a man is not to lay with his daughter or son it is abomination to create confuscion and Christ himself stated that after or in the resurrection there is no marriage.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:29-30

Note that which God stated in the beginning that is at the creation of man:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:26-27

The "us" is God the Father and the only "Begotten Son" Jesus Christ, Christ was perfect in all his way or else He could not be a sacrifice for our sins, He had to be totally without sin.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:13-15

Now had Jesus been married to Mary Magdalene he would have violated every rule and law give by Himself and the Father unto man and by so doing could not judge anyone as he himself would be a castaway from Holiness which without no man shall see God.

Basically, if Christ is God which He stated He was and was crucified for it and if He and the Father created mankind which they did, and if Christ then became entangled with a woman He would then have been involved in something called Incest which is against both the scripture and the law of land. However, since this was a figment among men's imagination and a lie perpetuated by Satan himself by his own writers throughout history there does remain a judgement for all mankind whether to the good or to the bad we shall all appear in one judgement or the other just hope your judgement does not occur at the great white thorn seat of God which is to judge all who did not receive the love of the truth of Christ.

Uribe's Microchip Comments Draw Fire

Published: 5/4/06, 8:45 PM EDT

BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) - Comments attributed to Colombia's president that microchip implants could be used to track Colombians working temporarily in the U.S. drew attention - and criticism - Thursday.

The alleged statement by President Alfaro Uribe dismayed some Colombians after it appeared in Colombian newspapers.

"It would be a blatant violation of human rights," said Jorge Pinilla, 50, a lawyer in Bogota.

Details of Uribe's conversation last month with U.S. lawmakers were revealed by Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania in a report he read into the congressional record last week.

Specter and Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama met with Uribe, the United States' staunchest ally in Latin America, during their visit to Colombia on April 7-9.

During the informal meeting, Specter expressed concerns about seasonal workers who immigrate to the United States to work temporarily on farms and then don't return to their country once their visa has elapsed.

"President Uribe said he would consider having Colombian workers have microchips implanted into their bodies before they are permitted to enter the United States to work on a seasonal basis," said Specter in a speech entered to the Congressional record April 25. "I doubted whether the implantation of microchips would be effective since the immigrant worker might be able to remove them."

Uribe on Thursday refused to say whether he proposed microchip implants, acknowledging only that he encouraged the senators to replace "draconian" immigration laws with a temporary work program that treats Colombian workers humanely, like one the country already shares with Spain and Canada.

"If the United States, with all its technology, computers and chips, doesn't have the means to know who enters or leaves the country then where are we?" he said during an interview on City TV.

The offices of Specter and Sessions did not return calls seeking comment on their meeting with Uribe.

Uribe's alleged comments, which dominated the airwaves Thursday, were unpopular with some Colombians.

"If the United States wants to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the country, they should find a better way than treating humans like animals," said Diana Lozano, an architecture student.

Using microchips the size of a grain of rice to track the movement of cattle is nothing new. There has been some marketing of the microchips for human use as a way to control access to secure areas and keep tabs on some criminals, but not for immigration.

"It sounds rather Orwellian," said John Keeley, spokesman for the Center for Immigrations Studies in Washington. "In a Star Trek-kind of future, 20-40 years down the road, we might need to consider this, but it's not germane to the contemporary immigration debate."

An estimated 1.5 million Colombians live in the United States and scores more have considered migrating north to escape economic hardship or the country's four-decade civil war.
